Children’s Bridge Annual General Meeting (AGM)
The Children’s Bridge Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held via Zoom on November 29, 2025 at 10am (EST)
The AGM is open to all active members of The Children’s Bridge (TCB). An active TCB membership is required in order to vote at the meeting or by proxy (below).

Notice of Office Closure
The well-being and mental health of all staff is important to TCB, and each year our office is closed for a week to provide a mental health break to all team members.
Please note that our offices will be closed from Monday, August 18 to Friday, August 22.
We hope you enjoy some lovely (not too hot!) summer weather and we look forward to connecting with you when we return on the 25.

A message from our Executive Director
I am reaching out to inform you at this time that I will be moving on from The Children’s Bridge as the Executive Director to pursue another career opportunity. My last day will be July 11th. I have truly enjoyed supporting the work of this incredible organization, the families it serves, and building further relationships with partners. The organization remains in the very capable and caring hands of the staff and Board of Directors during this transition period. I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to support this meaningful work.

A message from our Board President
On behalf of the Board of Directors, we want to express our sincere appreciation to Anita for her dedication and contributions to The Children’s Bridge over the past year. We wish her all the very best in her future endeavors.
The Board is committed to ensuring a smooth transition. We are pleased to announce that Darlene Catton, our current Senior Program Manager, has graciously agreed to step into the role of Interim Executive Director in addition to her current role while the Board conducts a comprehensive search for a permanent leader. We are confident that Darlene’s 25 + years of experience and dedication to our families will ensure continuity during this period.

Board Recruitment Announcement
The Children’s Bridge (TCB) is currently seeking new volunteer board members to lead the agency into the future. The board is a group of passionate, collaborative, and dedicated individuals. Board members are made up of adoptive parents and/or adult adoptees. Together, we ensure that all TCB children and families are offered the best support at all stages of their adoption journeys. Board meetings are held monthly, by Zoom, allowing TCB members from across Canada to participate. In addition to supervising the Executive Director, the board provides oversight and support in areas such as strategic planning, finance, and human resources. We are looking for motivated team players wanting to support the adoption community.
